ryszard latecki: it's a project which is continuing and elaborating my earlier ideas, turning up at projects of the reverse music (www.reversemusic.com) and a trumpet concerto and the dancer. the one last he was held in total darkness and it was in it about in order to hear the dance so that sound of the dance became the part of the sound space and the musical composition. spectator (actually listener) performance cut off from the visual perception is opening to such deep levels of hearing that he/she is picking up smallest even sounds of the dance; in traditional (visional) of situation unnoticeable.
the project of the reverse dance is still going step farther. the performance is held in total darkness. however this time dancers are invisible and inaudible. dressed in the costume absorbing sound. they are moving in the quadraphonic sound space. the audience is surrounding the scope for activity (square about 5 X 5 m) of dancers. around the audience four loudspeakers generating quadraphonic sound filling up the space in which the audience is sitting and dancers are acting. transferring the body are taking turns in this sound field architecture of sound. this way here the dance is becoming clear through "cutting out" of sound. bodies absorbing sound of dancers constitute the sound negative a kind of. they aren't visible, they aren't audible; but audience percepuje acoustic emptiness however moving in the sound space. it's possible so to talk about the reverse side of the dance (www.latecki.com)

dance outdoors. here the nature seems to be united with the dance of the polish team [d&a dance action]. the performance is beginning with clean acrobatics, where one of dancers is hanging from the branch of birch. how the spirit of the tree is going his chants around around. after all a spirit of stones is left obligated to live. this meeting with the nature is held in a soft, shimmering tone of the saxophone [pierre borel]

the performance with the help of the partnership and the dialogue is building the agreement between worlds. if something in these worlds is dominating, it is a freedom and an independence, as well as a mutual support which they are harmonizing are needed and they are filling the space up.











in suming up of the dance year 2008 by polish critics of the dance, julia hoczyk [drama critic, editor "stage", member of the editing "cultures enter"] pointed daria dziedzic in the category debut of the year in the performance "far from the body".

choreography of light and body creates the unforgettable atmosphere. by harmonization of every scenic detail, the boundary of message inapproachability is crossed. the fascination of dialogue dance is outlined, which pays attention to presentation of emotions and relations, that are impossible to place in traditional plot. Spectacle is deprived of useless ideologies, gaining the value itself. the mood is complemented by music, equally minimalist as the scenic means. all these cause that the presented form is clear and sublime. the dancers can fly, overcome the capability of human’s body and by this, they can present other space, feeling of which becomes most important. synergy of dance, light and sound allows for incredible reinforcement of message’s power.

the artists have reached beyond the rich experience or style of lublin’s groups, searching for colours from their own, individual palette for a progressive dance technique. they created the spectacle, which is rich in conceptions and the scenic solutions, beautifully illuminated, full of poetic images. what is important, the jointly created choreography moves between the poles of symbolism and literalness in a balanced manner. the power of this ovations awarded spectacle results from simplicity, communicativeness of resonating emotions, which are skillfully translated into theatrical means.

it's a direct, sincere said transmission in the freely flowing stream of images, story about simplest and most universal feeling and emotions - loves, of despair, solitudes, shame. it's seeking the beauty in the man - topic from which the theatre is running away in fear of suspecting of the banality and the sweet, smoothed vision world. however touched this way, into which did it anna żak and daria dziedzic, is showing his multidimensional, difficult charm.

the spectator falls into a trap of interpretation. there could be a hundred of ideas for what does the rising over the clouds and industrial constructions body (or person) mean. it could be written similarly why someone struggles ineffectively to get out of the dark space or it could be inquired whether the stripes on the costume of one of the dancers are in opposition or in compliance with the shafts of light limiting the stage, etc. spontaneous and thunderous applause prove that before the spectators explained themselves what they have just seen, they had succumbed to the magic of theatre, they had valued the choreographic conception and the quality of performance.

the performance is extremely distant from any political context or even social. lublin artists are penetrating into the sphere psyche, are exploring the internal outer space of the man. and are creating an inspiring novel about the partnership, the dialogue and the agreement.

it's an unusual poetic story about the connection of two people, in exceeding the sex and the social role. performance about the road and the energy of clean being, of surviving, of energy of means – remarkable converting the dance body into the body lasting, rising upwards, thanks to ropes, but also the thanks for strength of the heart and the mind. dancers are flying, they are crossing the border physical, not only in reality – above all through a state of mind they stay in which. frequently here associating with the technique is coming butoh – when dancers are slowly moving, closed inwards of oneself, in the concentration, with the care of gestures. a figure of, extremely experienced anna żak is deserving respect dancers from the lublin dance theatre which was able to leave classical already the dance technique and the quite monotonous line of the public theatre in order to go in the direction of the seen and clean dance energy, proving the readiness to enter the high of the being of the dance in the process from the ending of traditional theatre of the dance for the rising theatre of "searches of nature of the man".
